Chief Resource Officers

David Powell is the Vice President and Area Chief Resource Officer for Ascension Florida and  Gulf Coast. In this role, David oversees the end-to-end resource and supply management function, operations and logistics services, integrated change management, and implementation services across the Florida and Gulf Coast markets. He is most passionate about leveraging resource and supply management to be a proactive partner in care delivery.

Prior to joining The Resource Group in 2010, David worked at Providence Hospital in Mobile, Alabama as Vice President of Operations. He has just over 20 years of service in Human Resources, five years in Operations and over ten years in Resource and Supply Management.

David received a Bachelor of Science degree in business management from The United States Military Academy at West Point and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Southern Mississippi.
