Associate Reflection | In It Together

By Amy Lamson

I’ve had the privilege of working at The Resource Group for over 10 years. Over the course of my tenure, I’ve had the opportunity to take on several different roles across various communities, including Operations and Master Data Management, and have experienced several leadership transitions. Through it all, one thing has remained constant—the unwavering sense of appreciation, respect, and teamwork. The leaders I’ve had have always been genuinely committed to my success, both professionally and personally. I have never once felt anything but valued, supported, and empowered to grow.

If I had to describe The Resource Group’s culture in a single word, it would be collaborative. We are fortunate to work alongside incredibly smart, driven, and kind individuals who make working at The Resource Group a positive experience. The culture here thrives because of the amazing people who work together seamlessly, bringing new ideas to the table and encouraging one another along the way. During my time working in Operations during the COVID pandemic, we often leaned on each other, even teammates at other hospitals, especially during backorders to share supplies.

I’ll never forget the inspirational notes that other ops managers would include in the shipments. Those notes always brought a smile to my face and reminded me of the sense of unity we shared, that we were truly “in it together”. I also love that if I don’t know the answer to something or need insight from another community, it’s easy to connect, and everyone is so open to sharing knowledge. This openness to innovation and cross-functional collaboration is what truly makes The Resource Group a fantastic place to work and be a part of.
