System Support Leadership Team

Terry Moon is the Vice President, GPO IT Contracting, for The Resource Group. In this role, Terry is responsible for guiding the strategic direction of the GPO IT Contracting team, with an emphasis on scale and value for all members. In addition, Terry oversees the engagement of end-users, The Resource Group leaders, the Ascension Leadership Team, physicians, and other key stakeholders in aligning IT contract opportunities with the mission and strategies of all our participants. He also fosters a collaborative environment between The Resource Group Communities to form category negotiation strategies.

Prior to Terry’s work with Ascension and The Resource Group, he spent 30+ years in various IT leadership roles with IBM, Dell, and most recently a 20-year tenure at HCA Healthcare leading the strategic vision and execution of their IT purchasing strategy within their GPO, HealthTrust, where he led an advisory board of healthcare IT executives.

Terry holds a bachelor’s degree from The University of Alabama and a master’s degree in IT Business Operations from Western Governors University. Terry has provided industry guidance by contributing to multiple technology Boards including NetQoS, Computer Associates, and Cisco. In his spare time, Terry volunteers with Second Harvest Food Bank, Room In The Inn, and Saddle Up!, which gives children and youth with disabilities the opportunity to grow and develop through therapeutic, educational, and recreational activities with horses.
