Stephen Flatt
In the Regional Integration Officer role, Stephen is responsible for providing strategic leadership, building relationships, and bringing deep expertise for the sites of care in Tennessee, Florida, and Maryland. Stephen coordinates with vice presidents, finance, ministry leadership, and other Resource Group leaders to develop and implement savings plans that support the ministry's fiscal, clinical, and safety goals.
Stephen joined The Resource Group in 2014 as Director of Operations. In this role, he led the supply chain team through many organizational changes and ministry-wide implementations including a successful Symphony remediation in 2014, the integration of four new regional hospitals to the Saint Thomas Health roster in 2016, and the launch of the McKesson Med-Surg platform for the Saint Thomas Health ambulatory sites in 2017. Most recently, Stephen served as the Chief Resource Officer for Tennessee markets, where he implemented large ministry-wide savings initiatives and led the health ministry through the COVID-19 pandemic. Prior to joining The Resource Group, Stephen served as the Director of Merchandise Planning at Dollar General Corporation and the Logistics and Operations Manager at Mars Petcare.
Stephen earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Middle Tennessee State University, and a Master of Business Administration from Tennessee Technological University, where he studied Total Quality Management and Operations Management as a graduate assistant under Dr. Curt Reimann, the first Director of the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. Stephen serves on the Dean’s Advisory Board for Tennessee Technological University’s College of Business and on the Supply Chain Advisory Board for the Massey College of Business at Belmont University.
