Contracting Leaders

Ryan Easter is the Vice President, IT Contracting for The Resource Group. In this role, Ryan provides leadership and guides strategy for our GPO IT Contracting and Ascension IT Sourcing teams. In addition to IT contracting, Ryan also supports our Strategic Sourcing Optimization Community which delivers centralized support in the areas of eSourcing, contract lifecycle management processes, and strategic sourcing forecasting and performance metrics.

Ryan has been with The Resource Group since 2016, serving in a variety of roles. Most recently, Ryan served as the Vice President, Strategic Sourcing Optimization, and prior to that as the National Director of Contracting Strategy. Ryan also helped establish an eSourcing program to support our sourcing teams. Before his work with Ascension and The Resource Group, Ryan worked at Anheuser-Busch InBev where he spent time in strategic sourcing roles supporting IT and services categories.

Ryan holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Finance from Southern Illinois University - Edwardsville and a master’s degree in Business Administration from Webster University. Ryan received a PMP certification in 2017 from Project Management Institute, guest speaks on eSourcing and negotiation strategy several times a year at Howard University, and is a co-founder of an annual fundraising campaign, ‘Kick It For Recovery,’ which raises money to provide scholarships for those in financial need seeking extended living and sober care support in their addiction recovery journeys.
