Senior Leadership Team

Mark O’Connor is the Chief Financial Officer for The Resource Group. In this role, Mark is responsible for managing overall financial performance of The Resource Group. He also leads efforts, through The Resource Group’s Value Assurance function, to forecast and address supply budgeting variation and identify supply utilization opportunities for The Resource Group’s participants. Additionally, Mark oversees The Resource Group’s relationship with its contracted food, nutrition, and environmental services provider. 

Mark has more than 30 years of healthcare financial experience with time served at the executive level in both not-for-profit and for-profit healthcare environments. He has a broad range of experience with hospitals, physician practices, joint ventures, contracting, and process improvement.

Mark came to The Resource Group from SSM Health in St. Louis, where he was Network Vice President of Finance responsible for the SSM St. Louis physician organization, ambulatory services, and joint ventures. Prior to his network role, he held financial executive positions in three different hospitals for SSM Health Care and Tenet Healthcare. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Bradley University and master’s in Health Administration from Lindenwood University, passed all parts of the C.P.A. exam, and holds a Six Sigma Green Belt Certification.
